Ting say I didn't really blog much about my trip and she is right, I didn't. I can't seem to get to blogspot website so I am now typing here in Microsoft words first, later then copy and paste. Haha. Anyway, all I did talk about was the food and talkshow. One thing, we always feed Adidas (a black and white dog which we adopted for that stay in Huay Hok only) with bones. Adidas is really cute. Wish I had a dog.

Anyway I remember my first night there, I was so scared so the insects, keep hearing something fluttering at the area with the plastic bags which is only less than 1m from my feet. I was so scared that I zipped myself up in the sleeping bag. Heard from Li Hui next morning that each time an insect sound is heard, it be accompanied by the zipping of the sleeping bag sound. Haha... But it got real hot and in the middle of the night, I unzipped the sleeping bag. Oh I got woken up by this really strange loud noise that is really very much unbearable. It is so loud like someone blasted the tv and it is really very piercing. I thought it sounded like a razor blade or something but of course I knew it was the sound of AN... shall emphasize again... AN (just one only) insect. I heard Jia Ling waking up and asking Li Hui if it was an insect cos she thought it sounded like someone is using the chain saw. It is really that bad, can't believe that an insect can actually make that type of sound and it is probably above us flying about judging from the crazy loudness.

Through out the whole trip, I jumped about well it is because of insects. The funny thing about daddy long legs is that they absolutely love going to Pei Shi's sleeping bag, dunno why. As for me, my sleeping bag area is like a dead insect cemetery. Guess cos the mosquito coil is placed just above my pillor on the floor so any insect that comes near die of smoke ON MY SLEEPING BAG. GROSS! Every morning had to flick my sleeping bag.

Another insect incident happened during church worship in the evening. The pastor wife said she to Li Hui that she wanted to give her something but Li Hui asked after a while if it was an insect and indeed it is. A FIREFLY without wings. In the end, Zi Xuan took it and its butt is still glowing. Really pretty, too bad it is an inset dun dare to touch it at all. Oh and another thing happened when we were there but on a different day, we were halfway through praise and worship I think or was it a sermon when this really really huge bug landed on me. I was so freaked out, I flicked it off my leg immediately but never did I thought I flicked it by accident to Zi Xuan and it started crawling on her pants. It took her quite a while to flick it off her pants to the floor. It is disgustingly huge but we can't really do much then cos it is a church service and so there should not be any disturbances. I was so scared but good thing the lady behind us saw how scared I was and kicked the insect away to another area of the floor far away from me. IT'S SO SCARY. It is damn huge and oval, about the size of a NOKIA 6230 keypad area.

Anyway we found out tat the really super loud insect that we heard on the first day is some kind of insect that the people living there in Huay Hok eat during winter time. That is if the information I heard is not wrong. I can't imagine myself eating it. Anyway, there was this time when we were in our room and this really big bug came flying in. Good thing the pastor's brother was there in our room. You know what he did, he took his guitar, aim at the insect. The insect fainted and landed on Hwee Min's bed. After which he took hold of it, bring it outside of our room and whacked it dead with the slippers. It was then thrown on the ground. Well, guess what I saw the next morning, the chickens feeding on it. Free and easy meal. Haha. This whole trip, the insects are a big problem to me because I really am scare of them but I thank God for helping me make it through. Now I am not as scare of them as I was before.

Oh I forget one thing, this really big cricket like insect invaded our room and crawled on Jia Ling I think. And good thing Jia Ling felt it and so it was captured and brought outside. Oh and on the last morning, Zi Xuan and I we found a squashed daddy long legs in our bed, below our sleeping bag. We shared one twin mattress. Anyway the spider is squashed, it looked really funny. You could have used it for a bookmark. Basically it looks like a small flattened ball with long untra thin sticks (legs) sticking out of the round black body. Haha. Just on insect alone got so much thing to write.

Oh I almost forget about my encounter with the ants. We were climbing the mountains with children and one of the girl when to get this flower for me but the thing is that flower is wrapped up and when u peeled the "petals" open, OH MY GOSH, you see a swarm of black ants crawling all over the white flower. But the kids they didn't bother, they just hit and shake the flower till the ants are all on the ground and so that is what the girl did. But she forgot one thing, she pulled the stem down to get the flower and after she plucked the flower she released the stem and cos of that sudden motion, the ants fell from the branch on ME! I had to jump about wildly to shake off all the ants. Good thing it wasn't a lot of ants but still I rather they not fall on me. I am sure you get what I mean.

For now, this is all I can remember of my insect moments, shall write more when I remember. But for now, I shall stop blogging here. This entry is just way too long for me to continue any further. Haha. NIGHT!
