*|mission trip : FOOD and "talkshow"
Now is 147am, knock myself on the head... What am I doing, wasn't I suppose to go sleep!!! Later got work! BORING. My classmate told me that he happened to chance upon my blog when searching for some other blog in yahoo. Oh my gosh... One thing I like about blog is I can type whatever I want, well almost everything but what I don't like about it is you can't like say this entry meant for anyone or good frens, or btw best friends only. So some things I can't say. I really hope that no more school mates chance upon my blog because I did type about my family problems and all that and well... let 's just say I don't want everyone to know but that brings to the question why I typed it out in the first place... I guess I just need someplace to channel all my sadness or anger to if not I will really start to bottle up and become a bitter person which I admit I was when I was young.
I wanna write more about the mission trip. Lots of things I havn't say. Start with food! the food there is fantastic. Its really wow. It really makes Singapore food taste really bland. Glad that my stomach take to the food there very well. In fact, the food there is so much better for me than Singapore food. Oh I really love the mao gua!!! I havn't eaten that for ages and when I ate it there, it was heaven. Haha The cucumber soup is great. I like the porridge that we ate one morning and well even before we started eaten, Phil said that there are insects in the porridge and on closer inspection ther really are small green insects and the whole pot of porridge is filled with them. Sometimes I surprised myself. I am very very scared of insect, very scared and logically, it makes sense that I wont dare to eat the porridge but I did and I ate it happily even after knowing and upon closer look, realise that you can actually see which is the head, the legs and all that. What is more I even ask for second helping... Haha help Phil eat his porridge since he didnt wanna touch it. Now I starting to be hungry.
I love their salad dressing. It's excellent, home made salad dressing!!! Love it except for the fact that I tasted only once or twice cos it is TOO spicy for me. Still remember how each meal, Adidas (we named the dogs there and one of them happened to be blac and white, adidas colour... you know what I mean) come up to ask and ask for food. CUTE dog! Oh I must say the egg noodles is fantastic. Way better than those sold in Singapore. Mouth watering!!! But think we eat too much and ended up they (the pastor's brother's wife I think) have to ask the villagers there to offer some of their vegetables from their farms if they are willing. We realised that it is their culture to give guest more food than they can eat. For us, we believe in not wasting food so each time we clear a dish, they will judge the portion and cook even more for the next meal. Oh no, we such BIG EATERS! But really the food there is delicious, the best that I ever tasted in my whole life apart from what my godmother always cook.
Oh during the mission trip there was one afternoon when Jia Ling she "hosted" a "talkshow" and each one took turns to talk about our past relationships or crushes. It was really fun. Wow Jia Ling is pro!!! She really asks a lot of questions that are rather chim to answer like "How you know that he is the one?" and things like that. Lucily I was spared from all those questions cos I didn't have any relationships at all. Well crushes a lot but a relationship, NO. I would like to enter into a relationship once and it must be the man that God says is the one. The rest I don't want. I just only want one. Haha... Anyway we had a really fun "talkshow".
I just don't get it, what is so interesting about us? The room that we stayed in at Huay Hok had a lot of windows and the kids they just love to watched us from the windows. Are we really that amusing? LOL... They don't even understand what we are saying cos we converse in English but we must have been entertaining for them to have watched us for so long through the window. They make paper fans for us too because it is really hot in that room and well I still had mine with me for memory sake.
Ok I shall stop here, getting really really sleepy and it is 216am. Shucks I have to be up at 715am. I HATE WORK!!! Vanessa thanks for the "Grease" musical tickets. The musical is fantastic!!! Love it. Thanks gal!
