*|Karin's 21st bday celebration
My church friends and I aka "The hapz" went out today to celebrate Karin's 21st birthday. MY GOSH, it was a blast. Had lots of fun. Haha Let me see... Where shall I start. Ok We were suppose to meet Karin at Orchard MRT at 715pm today but she last min change the venue to City Hall MRT. It's her 21st birthday yesterday (Thursday). Anyway, she treating us but she wont tell us where she bringing us to except that we get to eat crickets. (Karin... If u wanna bluff us, say sth more real ma... u say eat cricket... we wont believe!!!) But of course, as U know we didnt believe it. Haha Anyway she was late. Tat is when our mini adventure started. We were walking along City Link Mall towards Marin Square. Haha we did a huge bday card for her... It is really huge... evne larger than a drawing block. We made her carried it and wanted her to hold the card in such a way tat everyone can c it. haha but guess wad she did... she cover up the "2" so it ended up reading "happy 1st birthday". She did tat on purpose. Didn't want ppl to know her age. Hee Hee... while on the way there... We did someone tat embarrassed her a lot. Guess wad we did... In the middle of City Link Mall while walking tat is... we suddenly started singing "happy birthday" loudly. Haha many ppl heard tat. Karin tried to hide her face with the card but the thing is... The front of the card is facing everyone. Apparently many ppl now know she is 21!!! LOL... It is really kinda embarrassing but it is fun. Oh well... We a bunch of gals... Wad do u expect. When it comes to birthday... We made sure the birthday gal receive lots and lots of attention!!!
Anyway... karin lose her way... We ended up walking from City Link Mall to marina square then back to suntec city and had to cross this stretch of road tat is like filled of cars. The traffic was heavy and the cars seemed to keep coming and coming... But of course, we managed to cross this road in the end. It is kinda dangerous actually. Haha On the way, we saw a snail on the floor and avoided stepping on it... Y i suddenly mentioned the snail... u will know afterwards once u read on.
After like a 45mins walk, Karin finally found the place. It is at Pan Pacific. Bet it be damn ex. She bring us to this buffet place. Wow... we had fun eating the food. We went for the sushi, salmon, osyters and etc first. it was fantastic and there was a dish where they had snails as part of the decoration or wad it one of themeat too. I didnt eat that so I dun know. Anyway, they were toking about how nice the snail were... Wad an irony... About less than 1/2 an hour ago, they said "Be careful, dun step on the snail" and after tat while at the buffet, they were eating it. LOL... After tat, we went for the hot food. YUMMY... We ate fresh drunken prawn. The chef took it out the big fish tank and cook it on the spot. Haha It was my first time peeling prawns using only fork and knife and it is fun. Haha... I practically peel more than 1/2 of all the prawns tat we ate. Think we took like more than 20 prawns and we kept going back to the chef to ask for more such tat e chef kept asking us if we wanted more and tat he cooked for us anytime. Haha LOL... I ended up displaying the prwan head and their shells on a plate. haha We took photos of it.
It is really delicious. Let me see. We also ate erm... original fried rice, some jack and black pepper thingie which till now I still dunno wad it is even though I ate it. We also ate the potato of the day and the vegetable of the day. There is also dory fillet, salmon and squid which I kept dropping while trying to get them on Karin's plate and she ended up having to pick those dropped pieces of squid from the dory and salmon dish. LOL. The herbal chicken soup is great!!! We ate like a lot. Ri Xin ate the most as usual. Haha, there was hardly any space left on her table for more plates of food. Oh... the desert is FANTASTIC. All the cakes and pudding. IT IS SO SO DELICIOUS. YUMMY!!! We made our own ice cream too. Oh man, I feel like a pig. I really eat like a lot, a lot. Cant blame, the food is super super good.
While we were eating, we took a lot of photos too... Really funny one. All the candid shots and all tat. Karin was our victim. Haha LOL... We took really lots of unglam photos of her. Really funny. We couldn't stop laughing. Bet we the noisiest bunch of ppl there at tat time. Not only tat, while other ppl were like done with their main course and were like now just drinking tea or coffee, we were still eating. Haha Oh I rmb something... Karin is so forgetful. She ordered pasta and told the chef she come back later to collect it. In the end, she kept toking to us so much tat 1/2 an hr later, she rmb it is still there. Haha karin said she was so pai seh. The chef was giving her a weird look if I not wrong and asked her if she wanted it hot. Apparently it must have turned cld after like /2 an hr. Haha on the way back, the prawn cooking chef asked if we still wanted prawns... He had enough of it... I mean how much prawns can 7 gals eat right? Haha The really fun part for today I guess will be the way we celebrated her bday.
We set up the cake and all tat while she settled the bill. Damn funny. Hwee Min pushed the candles all the way into the cake so tat when she removed it using her teeth, she will have a tough time. Haha, we captured every moment of it. It is damn funny. When we is about to blow the candles. We told her to freeze and have a facial expression tat shows tat she is blowing the candles. Guess wad she ended up looking like she is kissing someone. LOL. Damn funny. hui nan made things difficult for her. Like when she is making a wish... Hui nan told her to have a facial expression tat is like childlike and at e same time, shows tat she is really wishing really really hard. LOL... think Karin very poor thing, kena torture by us like siao while all we did was laugh our heads off cos it is really really funny. The photos tells it all. Haha the birthday present tat we gave her were 2 underwears tat we personalised by printing pictures on it. Damn funny... We made her wear it on the spot. Damn obscene. She looks like wonder woman. LOL... We laughed like mad.I mean who wouldn't. It was such a funny sight. karin was super embarrassed. Haha. Just couldn't stop laughing. It was a blast. I cant believe we had so much fun. By the time, we packed up, it was like 10pm plus. Really late so I ended up staying over at Jing Ting's house. Tat si where I am right now. Really tired now. Today was so fun!
